On June 28, 2025, a concert titled “The Japanese Heart Beats in a Macedonian Rhythm” was held at the Macedonian Philharmonic, featuring Japanese tenor Kazuhiro Kotetsu performing a program of both Macedonian and Japanese repertoire.
The event represented a cultural bridge between two nations, made possible through the vision of Dragan Damjanovski, General Manager of Termalift, and the dedicated team behind the company.

This initiative symbolically crowned more than 30 years of Termalift’s active presence in the Macedonian market with Japanese products. From technical cooperation to cultural understanding, this long-term relationship has now found public cultural affirmation through an event that promoted mutual respect and connection.
In addition to Kotetsu, the program featured performances by the Japanese women’s choir Tomoni Utao, including soprano Chihiro Suganuma and pianist Akiko Kanazawa, and the Macedonian mixed choir Pro Ars, joined by soprano Elena Vasova, under the direction of Sasho Tatarchevski and pianist Ivan Trajkovski. The repertoire included carefully selected pieces from both cultures, with a special focus on Macedonian traditional songs.

Some of the most notable Macedonian compositions included in the program were: “Bolen mi leži - Mile Pop Jordanov,” “Ako umram ili zaginam,” “Koce berberot,” and “Makedonsko devojče,” alongside choral performances of “Po drum odam, majče,” “Derviško mome,” and “Kalajdžisko.” The selections reflected the cultural connection between the two nations and were presented in both solo and choral arrangements.

The event was moderated by Suzana Turundžieva, a renowned media and cultural figure with longstanding experience, whose confident stage presence and clear expression ensured a dynamic and well-structured flow of the program.

The entire event was professionally organized and well received by the cultural community and media.

For Termalift, this concert stands as confirmation that the private sector can play a constructive role not only in economic development, but also in fostering cultural and social connection.
